I think that in this specific section on=f the reading, I am being asked if indulging these “delusions” of a disease with sympathetic and empathetic actions and responses is justifiable and correct to do. On the one hand, if these people are having delusions of a skin disease, wouldn’t it be best to give them psychiatric treatment for a mental disorder as opposed to bringing them to doctors and dematologists and perpetuating the delusions? On the other had, if the majority of medical professionals are somehow wrong and it is real, and we’ve all just been dismissing these patients struggles, where does that leave us? With just the information that was presented in “Devil’s Bait” and no exterior research, I am inclined to think that Morgellons Disease is noting more than delusional parasitosis. Large amounts of medical professionals say that is the case so that’s what I’m going with right now.
