This semester, I was lucky enough to only have one peer review partner for the duration of all three papers. I believe that this benefited me because it allowed me to get consistent feedback. It also allowed me to get to know the writing my review partner in more detail, so that I could look for mistakes that I already knew that they were prone to. Over the course of the semester, my capability as a peer editor has greatly improved. I began to get more in depth when commenting about the actual content of the essays. I also refrained from commenting very vague and pointless comments such as a “?” with no other input to follow it. A simple “?” give absolutely no help when it comes to peer review, so I try to make every comment relevant and clear.
