Citing a source in MLA format for essays, both in a section of text and in a bibliography, has not been an issue for me since the sixth grade. Even then, it was not very difficult. I developed this ability very early on in middle school, specifically in my English classes. It was a requirement for every paper, no matter how small or how many sources. We would even have hand written essay exams that would be done in class with a small section of a provided book. We were required to write the essay and cite the source with no assistance from a computer.
